Bis.Co.Latte Coffee Shop NYC |
What to Expect
Bis.Co.Latte has an inviting atmosphere that is uncommon in restaurants and cafe's in Manhattan. Most are cramped and count on high turnover among customers to make a profit. With comfortable tables, light background music, and a shelf full of books, we knew this was a place that invited customers to stay. While Bis.Co.Latte was busy, my wife and I had no problem finding a place to sit. Besides coffee, Bis.Co.Latte also offers a menu of traditional European baked goods and soups. Their specialty is handmade biscotti--they are New York City's only handmade bicotti bakeshop and cafe. Biscotti are twice-baked biscuits native to Italy, that are traditionally dry in order to allow them to be stored for long amounts of time. My only experience with biscotti prior to our visit was the plastic wrapped kind offered by national chain coffee-shops. There is no comparison. Bis.Co.Latte's biscotti, paired with a coffee drink, us the best mid-morning snack known to mankind.
